2017 was an exciting year for fashion programs, with prestigious schools such as Fordham Law, Institut Francais de la Mode (IFM), and ASU’s Herberger Institute of Art & Design launching distinctive programs for artists interested in both designing fashions and the business of fashion. This past summer we reported that Arizona State University’s famed Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts planned to launch a new Bachelor of Arts in Fashion. Memphis College of Art’s 9-month intensive Fashion Certificate program kicked off September 25, while SUNY Ulster welcomed its first Fashion Design AS students just weeks ago.
