University of Arkansas: Apparel Studies
Fayetteville, Arkansas
School of Human Environmental Sciences

The Apparel Studies program at the University of Arkansas is one of the few programs that integrates both product development and merchandisng in the same degree.  This approach gives the students the ability to see the apparel industry as a whole entity and not just through a design or a merchandising view. A bachelor's degree emphasizing Apparel Studies opens the door for your career in fashion merchandising, product development, brand management, quality assurance and general clothing and textiles. The Apparel Studies faculty routinely schedule guest lecturers from the apparel and textile industries to give you professional insight into today's career fields. Senior level coursework also includes real world project experience from supporting apparel companies. This supplements a dynamic academic program that includes coursework in science, marketing, social science and liberal arts, as well as human environmental sciences and specialized areas of business and art.
