Best Fashion Programs in New York

July 31, 2013 written by FS Staff

NY

High enrollment figures are certainly good for the college, and affordable tuition is like the icing on the cake for students, but it takes quite a bit more than this for any given college to rank among the “Best Fashion Programs.” A number of respected college ranking agencies evaluate a number of factors when determining which schools deserve a spot on the list. Faculty resources (such as student-faculty ratio), financial resources, program offerings, peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, and student selectivity are just a few.

The state of New York is home to 304 Title IV degree-granting schools, with more than 900,000 students enrolled in full-time programs alone. Because New York is the nation’s fashion capital, many Title IVs offer some of the best fashion programs in the world. Many of the state’s best fashion programs are offered at schools in the heart of New York City, but we also found a few other outstanding programs in places like Syracuse, Buffalo, and even Cazenovia.
