Seattle Fashion Schools

Jet City. Latté Land. The Silicon Forest. Whatever you call it, Seattle is an amazing place. It's a young city, founded in the 1850s by people who came to the frontier to build new lives. Denny, Mercer, Yesler, Boren, and Bell. The architects of early Seattle laid a lasting foundation that still rewards individuality and entrepreneurship. Today, instead of lumber and trapping, it's software, airplanes, and coffee (Microsoft, Boeing, and Starbucks). Seattle is in many ways still a frontier city - open to new ideas and offering those who come here a place to make a fresh start.

A magnificent port city on the Pacific rim, Seattle is nestled among snowcapped mountains. Many an artistic spirit has been lifted after catching sight of the teeth of the Cascade Range smiling in the east over downtown Bellevue, or Mount Rainier filling a huge triangle of sky above Lake Washington, or the Olympic Mountains in the sunset across Elliott Bay. Seattle’s 2.9 million residents live in a city rich in international culture and that offers sophisticated arts and entertainment. Music and art spills from galleries and theaters onto the street with year-round festivals and events. A magnificent new symphony hall opened in downtown in 1998. And in the shadow of the Space Needle, the monorail runs right through the undulating architecture of the Experience Music Project, an interactive journey to the soul of rock music. (Let’s not forget where grunge rock was born.) Seattle is also one of the few cities in the U.S. to boast a major opera, symphony and ballet company.
