Fashion-Schools.org endeavors to be the authoritative online resource for students seeking information about fashion school programs and careers in fashion. On our site you can review degree information from hundreds of schools as well as profiles of myriad fashion professions. Simply put, we want to simplify the process of identifying and researching fashion school programs so that potential students can spend more time evaluating schools and less time searching for program information. 

Who are we?
We are a team of seven people -writers, designers, developers, and researchers- headed by our President, Brad Prescott, a veteran publisher of specialty career resource web properties. We acquired Fashion-Schools.org in 2012 and are in process of upgrading the site's content with the end goal being to make this site the most authoritative and comprehensive online resource for aspiring fashion industry professionals.

How can we add or update a profile of our school's program?

You have a Fashion School Interview Series. How can my school get involved? 
Our interview series is a great platform for schools to discuss their fashion programs in their own words. Our goal is to eventually interview a representative from every fashion school program in the US. If you would like to be interviewed for a feature article, just email us and we'll coordinate it.  

What is the criteria for your "top" fashion school lists?
The criteria we used in making our various "top" list consists of the following, in no particular order: academic reputation, admission selectivity, depth and breadth of the program and faculty, and geographic location. A team of three people spent over two months reviewing over 200 fashion programs across the US in preparing the rankings. We used only publicly available information for lists published in the 2012-2013 school year. In 2013-2014 our intention is to survey fashion schools to gain further information to enhance the quality of the lists. 

Our goal with these lists is to provide students and parents with a starting point for identifying fashion programs that are the best fit for them. We receive frequent emails from students/parents essentially saying "help me" and it became quickly obvious to us that many students/parents have little information about the many quality programs available to them, often in their own state. So the lists we are publishing are a way to organize fashion school program information into an easy to find, digestible format. Of course any "Top" list we create is subjective by nature and our lists surely are not perfect, and we say so upfront. There is no single opinion that trumps all when it comes to which school is the “best” but our team put a substantial amount of research into identifying and ranking the fashion programs across the US and we think anybody would be hard pressed to find a more comprehensive or well researched ranking of fashion schools freely available online. Lastly, if there is anything we have learned in preparing these lists it is that there are ten schools who think they are #1, thirty convinced they are Top 10, and another fifty who are certain they belong in the Top 20. And the truth is they all make a pretty strong case for inclusion, which is why we reiterate that our lists should be a starting point rather than a deciding factor when considering fashion schools.
