The Art Institute of Portland’s Apparel Design program focuses on providing students with marketable skills for the workplace, including how to develop and showcase their own collections.  The bachelor’s degree program in all three majors also offers instruction in business, entrepreneurship, marketing, and presentation to prepare students for careers in the industry.  Students leave the program with the background necessary to seek entry-level jobs in positions like fashion designer, apparel developer, design assistant, merchandiser, or buyer.
