Indiana Fashion Schools
The Indiana State Motto: "The Crossroads of America" is not only representative of Indiana's great history, but it also signifies the importance of waterways, railroads, highways, and other transportation facilities in the state, viewed by many as some of the finest in the nation. The state nickname? "Hoosier State" of course! But little is known about the exact origin.
Indiana's 1816 State Constitution was the first in the US to provide for a system of free schools. Education in Indiana has always been a top priority. About one-half of all college students in Indiana are enrolled in state-supported four year schools of higher education. There are also many private colleges and universities in Indiana that are affiliated with religous groups, and increasingly, there are schools focused on career development within specific professions, providing Indiana students with a faster, more focused educational curriculum
Indianapolis is the state's most populous city (with a total population over 800,000), followed by Fort Wayne (with over 200,000). Indianapolis is a rich cultural environment with plenty of flair for fashion designers and fashion merchandisers alike. In a city where there is virtually something for everyone, new fashion statements are made everyday. From designer Sage O'Toole's Man-Dukes, to Fashion Shows presented by Indianapolis Woman, to tuxedo style suits by Ann Simper Designs, there is no doubt that Indianapolis is a dynamic fashion-focused environment
