Fashion Design & Merchandising Degrees

Fashion Design and Merchandising is a hybrid of Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising majors. Students are trained, practically and academically, in all aspects of the fashion industry, from forecasting which trends will become hot in the market to learning the technical skills to actually create the finished product. Students learn how to identify the desires of the consumer-driven market, principles of good design, technical skills for creating these designs, and retail strategies to eventually sell their products.

Upon completion of this program, graduates are expected to have successfully put together a portfolio of work to facilitate employment. Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions in the fashion industry such as Assistant Fashion/Accessory/Costume Designer, Illustrator, Pattern Drafter, Associate Merchandise Buyer, Showroom Sales Representative, and much more.
