3030. Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO (top 15% of schools reviewed)
Colorado State is a large research university and is known as one of the top public universities in the United States for affordability and quality. The university awards Bachelor Degrees in Apparel Design and Merchandising.  The program integrates pragmatic design and development with an academic understanding of the culture, history and the consumer relationship with fashion. Each spring the department hosts a student design show where awards are presented to recognize outstanding achievement. Students who wish to be admitted to the program must participate in a design project before enrolling. Residents pay approximately $400 per academic credit hour and non-residents pay about $1,200 per credit hour.

Kansas State is a large research university that is rated the safest campus in the Big 12. The university offers a Bachelor Degree in Apparel and Textiles.
